This all began more than 60 years ago in Ahmedabad. A young man named Mr. J. M. Kad came from Punjab after finishing college. He had almost nothing with him, just a dream and a strong will to build something meaningful. He started small, working as a commission agent for brass utensils and other non-ferrous metals. That small step was the start of something much bigger.

Over time, what began as a simple trading business grew into a trusted company that people across Western India now know for stainless steel, machine tools, and industrial solutions.

How We Grew Over Time

During the 1970s and 1980s, we became a key player in the machine tools business. We also expanded into stainless steel utensils, circles, and different types of industrial parts. What started as a small trading company slowly became a successful and growing business. People began to know us for our quality and honest work.

In 1994, we took a big step. We began manufacturing. We built our stainless steel sheet production unit from the ground up. It was not easy, but we believed in doing things the right way. Today, we run seven modern rolling mills across two units. Every year, we deliver more than eight thousand metric tons of products to industries all across India and to other countries too.

When the younger generation joined the business, they brought new energy and fresh ideas. In the last five years, our company has grown faster than ever. But we never let go of the values that started it all. We still believe in quality, trust, and care.

As India changes and grows, new opportunities are opening up every day. We are not just keeping up with these changes. We are moving ahead. We face every challenge with the goal to turn it into something better.

The People Behind the Progress

• Mr Sumish Kad – He is a chemical engineer with over 31 years of experience in the stainless steel industry, Sumnish Kad is a pioneer in manufacturing high-quality stainless steel sheets. He oversees the entire manufacturing operation and heads the purchasing department. In the pipe division, he leads the quality control team, ensuring that every pipe undergoes and meets the most rigorous quality checks.

   

• Mr. Sudhir Kad –
  Since 1994, he has handled the finances of the company. He manages human resources for the industry and also oversees the import/export division. His experience of the past 31 years in administration, inspires the team to grow ahead with more resilience and clarity. He also represents Kad Steel at various national as well as international associations.
